The Challenge has developed a special sponsorship package for academia. Universities have a very important role to play in the Challenge, not only by producing graduates who may be interested in getting involved in one of the Challenges and subsequently taking up a role in cyber security, but also through their research capabilities and knowledge in this critically important area.
Universities can benefit from involvement in the Challenge by working with industry, government and membership organisations, they can keep their applied courses up to date and remain at the leading edge of developments in cyber security, an ever changing landscape, while also promoting their programmes.
The aim is to establish an academic community which is actively involved in research and education in the cyber security field and engage them in a mutually beneficial relationship.
The Sponsorship package can be tailored so that Universities can also contribute through Value in Kind, such as offering course places as prizes, hosting a Challenge Event or even conducting research for the Challenge.
The Challenge is actively engaging with Academia to develop the University Cipher Competitions and there are a number of other initiatives available.
