This year’s fifth National Cyber Awards ceremony on 25 September 2023 was the largest and best supported yet – 500 at the dinner, hosted by Gordon Corera (BBC), and attended by the Minister of State at DSIT. For the first time there was involvement at No 10 level – some of the (student) finalists were invited to No 10 beforehand with The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC), and there was a written forward in the proceedings by the PM. Unfortunately, the CSCUK entry in the Not-for-Profit Cyber Award category (The Cyber Choices Challenge game with The National Crime Agency) did not make it through to the finals – but we will try again in 2024! The winner in our category was The Cyber Helpline.
As in previous years, both CSCUK and The Cyber Trust will benefit from the event in due course as we represent 2 of the 5 Charitable / NFP beneficiaries along with NSPCC, Help for Heroes, and TNMOC at Bletchley.
