Competition rules and eligibility
The eligibility rules below must be accepted in order for you to register for, and participate in, the NCA Winter Cyber Challenge 2021:
Eligibility
You must be 13 years or older and resident in the UK to participate. Prizes will be delivered digitally via email to winners.
Automated entries, bulk entries or third party entries will be disqualified.
Competition
The NCA Winter Cyber Challenge 2021 is one big quiz. Complete as many questions as you can before the competition closes at midnight on Sunday 20 December 2021. You can save your progress and return later on to finish the challenge.
Competition answers will be published at cybergamesuk.com on Monday 20 December 2021. Correspondence regarding competition answers will not be entered into.
Prize pool
Prizes will be awarded based on participation based on the criteria listed below, not high scores. A prize draw will take place each day during the competition. One winner will be drawn per day. Winners drawn will be awarded x1 Amazon gift card to the value of £50.00.
Spot prize criteria
Monday 13 December First person to complete the quiz
Tuesday 14 December Lucky dip for scores higher than 50%
Wednesday 15 December Most progress achieved by midweek
Thursday 16 December Social media online safety rising star
Friday 17 December Outstanding original thinking/problem-solving (free text answers)
Saturday 18 December Best dedication to the cause on a weekend
Sunday 19 December I cracked the secret phrase (hidden in answers)
Prize awards
Prize winners will be notified by email (supplied by the competition entrant). Winners must respond within 24 hours of the notifying email to secure the prize. Failure to respond within the timeframe given will cause the prize to be returned to the prize pool and redrawn. No further correspondence will be entered into. Only one prize can be won per day.
The Cyber Security Challenge UK and the NCA reserve the right to award prizes to winners they select, and the entrance into the competition and the submission of a right answer does not impose any obligation on the competition sponsors to award prize to any competitor. The sponsors reserve the right to change advertised prizes to ones of equivalent value. No cash alternatives will be provided.
Data
Data gathered for the purposes of participating in this competition fall under GDPR regulations. The Cyber Security Challenge UK is the data owner and processor for all personal data provided by participants. Please refer to our general privacy and data policies for more information. We will never pass your details on to any third party without your consent.
Media & publicity
Participants will be asked to agree for their name to be used in publicity by Cyber Security Challenge UK and NCA if they become a winner. This publicity will only refer to the current competition and will not be used in any other publicity without your prior written agreement.
Disclosure
When playing our competitions you must not do anything to contravene any UK Law or do anything to bring Cyber Security Challenge UK or the NCA into ill repute.
