You will face cyber criminals methods of obfuscated command and control, attempts to shred evidence and configuration failures that leave services open to attack. This challenge has a range of questions at different difficulty levels making it accessible to both beginners and more experienced players.

ii) A working copy of Backtrack5 (recommended) or a similar set of analysis tools
iiii) Familiarity with common daemon configuration such as mail servers, web servers and databases.

The game is now held over 3 days, this will allow you to play and “log on and off” at any time during the 3 days by clicking the save button but please remember that once you have clicked “submit” your entry is registered. Please also note that you can only play this game once, once you have submitted your score you will not be allowed to play again.
The time is calculated based on when you first open the quiz and when you submit your final answers; the timer DOES NOT stop if you leave and come back! For example, if you start the quiz at 1400, work on it for an hour, then come back the next day at 1400 and submit your final answers at 1405, your time would be 24:05:00.
THE FIRST 4000 PEOPLE TO SEND IN A COMPETITION RETURN, WHO SCORE SOME POINTS, WILL RECEIVE A VIRTUAL TRAINING PROGRAMME FROM INFOSEC SKILLS – SO DON’T GIVE UP EVEN IF YOU THINK YOUR RETURN IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN.
Thank you and good luck!!
