One of America's top penetration testers asks if you can crack "The Year Without a Santa . . . Hack"
Ed Skoudis, SANS Instructor and NetWars CyberCity Director has created his 10th annual cyber game, inviting participants across the cyber skills spectrum to try and crack "The Year Without a Santa . . . Hack" cipher.
Most recently responsible for SANS NetWars Cyber City – a small-scale city developed to teach cyber warriers from the U.S Military how online actions can have physical effects – Ed’s team have now turned their attention towards Christmas, offering future cyber defenders the chance to crack "The Year Without a Santa . . . Hack" for free.
The cipher has 10 levels that are designed to teach skills in web application vulnerability assessment and pen testing of Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) of industrial control systems (ICS). More than 500 people started this year's "The Year Without a Santa . . . Hack" within the first two days – are you in?
